- Program OverviewThis program seeks to increase access to quality care by equipping NPs, especially those from and caring for underrepresented minority groups, with the essential leadership and business acumen to develop and lead healthcare enterprises that provide primary care and behavioral health services in limited resource settings to expand access to community-centric, culturally conscious care and improve health equity.
- 1-year, hybrid learning entrepreneur development program with a 6-month follow-up period.
- Seeking U.S. licensed and credentialed nurse practitioners (NPs) specialized in primary care or behavioral health services, with a focused effort on involving NPs from and caring for underrepresented minority groups.
- Participants will acquire essential leadership, management, business, and financial skills necessary to craft a comprehensive business plan. This plan, along with mentorship and coaching will enable them to launch NP-led healthcare enterprises, specializing in primary and/or behavioral health services in limited resource settings.
- Who is Eligible?Applicants must be a licensed and credentialed NP in the U.S. Applicants must develop a proposed health care enterprise business plan to provide primary health care services and/or behavioral health services to a vulnerable patient population and must be able to access technology that meets the current program requirements.
Applicants must also commitment to attend the mandatory sessions noted in the timeline below. - How to ApplyAfter verifying their eligibility, interested individuals should complete and submit the program’s online application here no later than June 21, 2024.
Completed applications received by the deadline will be reviewed and interviews conducted with applicants eligible to continue the process.
